• About Fishburn Park

    Fishburn Park is one of 17 elementary schools in Roanoke City Public Schools. It is, however, the only elementary school that families across the city may choose for their students to attend and benefit from an education that is rooted in science, technology, engineering, art, and math, commonly known as STEAM. Students from across the city may apply to attend Fishburn Park.

    Fishburn Park is located in Southwest Roanoke and is home of the Steambots. It is led by Principal Dr. Jason Wimbush and Assistant Principal Monica Millner.

    The mission of Fishburn Park Elementary School is to create a caring community of lifelong learners and to provide an academically stimulating and challenging instructional STEAM program that establishes a strong foundation of academic success for all students..
