    John P. Fishwick Middle School is one of five middle schools in Roanoke City Public Schools. At John P. Fishwick, our goal is for all students to show growth in knowledge, skills, and character and to learn in a safe, responsive, and productive environment. Each grade/team develops and implements cross-curricular instruction to meet annual accreditation standards.

    Fishwick is home to the Chargers, and is led by Principal Ryan Loose and Assistant Principals Jessica Davila and Jesse Laplante.

    School Arrival Time: 9:10 - 9:30 a.m.
    Dismissal: Car Riders 4:05 p.m. and Bus Riders 4:15 p.m.                                 

    8th grade students and families are invited to participate in our promotion ceremony by making their way through our celebratory bus loop, either in a vehicle or on foot, at your student's assigned time on Thursday, June 5th.  
     
    Students have been assigned the following times to participate, based on their last name. 
    Last names A-E 10:30am-11:00am 
    Last names F-J 11:00am-11:30am 
    Last names K-Q 11:30am-12:00pm 
    Last names R-Z 12:00pm-12:30pm 
     
    As you and your student make your way through the bus loop, teachers and school staff will be there to cheer on and celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of our 8th-grade students during their time here at Fishwick Middle School. 
     
    We hope to see you on Thursday, June 5 as we send our 8th-grade Chargers on to high school!
