    Dear Fallon Park Elementary Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year at Fallon Park Elementary School! We are excited to begin a year of learning, growth, and partnership with you. This year, our school theme is:

One Team, One Dream: Building Tomorrow by Believing Today

This theme reflects our shared commitment to working together—students, families, staff, and community members—as one united team with one common goal: helping every child thrive. By believing in our students today, we are laying the foundation for their success tomorrow. This belief extends beyond academics to include their social and emotional development, ensuring that every child feels supported, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.

We believe that when students feel safe, connected, and confident, they are more likely to engage deeply in learning, build meaningful relationships, and develop the resilience needed to navigate challenges. Together, we will foster a school environment where every child can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Your child’s teacher assignment for the 2025-2026 school year is ___(sent by mail)______.. If you plan to bring your child to school on the first day, please notify the office of their afternoon transportation arrangements. Whenever possible, we encourage students to ride the bus on the first day to support a smooth and efficient dismissal process. Transportation services will continue to be provided by Zum (pronounced “Zoom”), and bus route information is available at www.rcps.info.

    • Breakfast will be served from 6:55 to 7:15 a.m.
    • Instruction, including Morning Meetings, will begin promptly at 7:15 a.m.

Students arriving after 7:15 a.m. will be marked tardy and must be accompanied into the building by an adult to sign in. Students arriving after 7:30 a.m. should not bring food to eat in the classroom, as instruction will already be in progress. If arriving late, please ensure your student eats prior to arrival.

To minimize confusion and ensure student safety, all transportation changes must be submitted in writing. Once received, a transportation change form will be provided to the teacher and student. Students will not be released to another student or adult without written consent. Please note that we are unable to accept transportation changes over the phone, as we cannot verify the caller’s identity.

We are committed to providing a high-quality education in a safe and supportive environment. We ask for your partnership in ensuring your child attends school on time each day, follows schoolwide expectations, and adheres to the Roanoke City Public Schools (RCPS) Code of Conduct. Our team is here to support you and your child every step of the way.
